[NEWSLETTER] AUGUST 2020 – LAW ON INVESTMENT IN PPP FORM

Last 18 June 2020, the National Assembly of Vietnam approved the promulgation of Law No. 64/2020/QH14 on Investment in Public-Private Partnership Form with effectiveness as from 1 January 2021. This new Law is a remarkable development while consolidating the relevant provisions governing PPP investment activities in separate legal instruments into one, clarifying certain issues under the those prevailing regulations and making the changes that are expected to further incentivize the PPP projects and attract more private investment in the PPP projects.

This Newsletter focuses on notable amendments to the current framework governing investment activities in PPP form in Vietnam as set out under this new Law.
