[NEWSLETTER] OCTOBER 2020 – 2020 LAW ON SECURITIES

A long-awaited new Law on Securities was finally adopted by the National Assembly on 26 November 2019. This New Law on Securities will come into effect as from 1 January 2021 when it will replace the current 2006 Law on Securities and its guiding instruments. This new Law is expected to be a remarkable improvement on the legal framework governing securities activities in Vietnam and overcome the shortcomings existing for the past 10 years.
